2020-21 U.S. Olympic Team Trials -
Track and Field Medals, Banners, Wall Prints, Memorabilia
After applying for and receiving salvage wood material from the deconstructed historical Hayward Field, we as a creative team really broke down what it meant to have a piece of this history. TrackTown USA, Eugene OR, is a historical town used by the Olympic Committee to host the Olympic Trials dating back as early as the 1950’s. Hayward Field has become a beacon for runners across the world and to have a piece of this old stadium was limited and cherished.
With the design created, we honed in on the next physical output of the wood itself. Using laser engraving and custom print, we encompassed the serene PNW vibe and infused the wood into the metal casting of each Gold, Silver and Bronze medal.

Eugene Marathon Medals
Running is a big deal in Eugene, Oregon also known as TrackTown USA, home to the Historic Hayward Field. Summer of 2018 started the renovation of the iconic track and field stadium. During this renovation, the old and salvaged material was up for grabs by permission from the University of Oregon. What better way to reward runners than to have them hold a piece of Old Hayward Field while completing the 2021 Eugene Marathon.
The medals were cut out of the old east grandstand steps that historic olympic athletes like Steve Prefontaine practiced and ran up and down.
